RACERCARDYou will be issued an official student identification card—your Racercard—when you arrive on campus. Your Racercard is required to enter your assigned residential college, to cash checks, pick up financial aid checks, sell books back to the bookstore, make copies at Copy Express, check out library books, obtain meals at all nine food locations and pay fees at the cashier’s office. Your Racercard is also required at numerous facilities and student activities such as voting, theatre productions, game room/fitness center, Bauernfeind Wellness and Recreation Center, RSEC, Carr Health building and athletic events. A photo ID, such as the Racercard, is needed to obtain any information from the Registrar's Office. Completion of class scheduling and fee payment requirements each semester is necessary for appropriate ID activation. Care of the RacerCard The RacerCard office staff will be happy to re-encode the magnetic strip on the back of your card any time during the semester. By taking good care of your RacerCard, you will avoid paying the $12.50 replacement fee. RacerCards are non-transferable. All cards will be picked up by Food Service cashiers and turned into the Food Service office if used by someone other than the owner. Lost RacerCard If you lose your card after 2 pm on a Friday and report it lost, you may have up to four meals during the weekend period before purchasing a new card on Monday. If you find your card, you must go to the RacerCard Office to reactivate the card before it can be used again. You may purchase a new card at the Cashier's Office on the second floor of Sparks Hall with cash, check or credit card. If you have a check or cash, you may purchase your new card in the RacerCard Office. If you purchase your new card at Sparks Hall, you will be given a receipt to take to the RacerCard Office. The actual card is made and issued in the RacerCard Office on the first floor of the Curris Center. Office hours are 8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. The charge for a new RacerCard is $12.50. |
