MEAL PLANS

If you are a freshman or sophomore living in a residential college, you are required to purchase a minimum 10 meal plan or a Block Plan. Declining balance is available as an add-on to the board plans with no minimum deposit once the board plan has been purchased. Juniors and seniors living in a residential college are not required to purchase a meal plan.

Exemption from the meal plan requirements should be obtained in WRITING prior to the beginning of classes from the Food Services Office, 101 Curris Center, Murray, KY 42071-3356 or in person during the first four weeks of classes. The Housing exemption form may be used to satisfy this requirement.

The Food Service operation serves 19 meals per week starting Monday breakfast through Sunday dinner. A student may eat only three meals per day except on Saturday and Sunday when only two meals per day are served. Students who select one of the Racer Plans will have their choice of meals each week not to exceed the maximum number of meals per week purchased. Students who select one of the Thoroughbred plans will have their choice of 0-19 meals per week until their maximum number of meals purchased is consumed.

Students may call in meal plan changes after scheduling semester classes. Students may change their meal plans for one month at the beginning of each semester. To make these changes, students may come by the Racer Card Office on the first floor of Curris Center, call 3003 between the hours of 8:30am until 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with their security code or make changes on the PIN system, option 10.
