The Murray Legacy Tuition Grant provides out-of-state undergraduate children and grandchildren of Murray State graduates with the difference between out-of-state and instate tuition rates.*

Qualifying Parents and Grandparents
- Parent, Stepparent, Grandparent or Stepgrandparent must hold a baccalaureate or graduate degree from Murray State
University
- Biological, adoptive, stepparents and grandparents must submit legal documentation to verify the link from the students to
the qualifying alumnus (official birth certificates, marriage license, etc.)
Qualifying Students
- Student must be admitted or readmitted as an undergraduate for Summer 2004 or later
- Student must meet all regular out-of-state admission requirements
- Student must be enrolled full time in an undergraduate program pursuing a first bachelor’s degree
- Legacy application and documentation must be submitted by required date
Program Specifics
- Tuition grant offers the difference between out-of-state and in-state tuition rates to eligible non-resident students*
- Tuition grant is only available during fall and spring semesters
- Tuition grant is for 8 semesters
Deadlines
- Fall Semester: July 1st
- Spring Semester: November 1st

*Students from TN tuition reciprocity counties are not eligible for the grant given the tuition discount they already receive. Students
eligible for this grant may not receive it in addition to other tuition discounts they already receive.
