  • an application for admission accompanied by a $30 nonrefundable fee (as of July 1, 2006)
  • an official report of the student's GED scores (mailed directly to MSU Admissions Services from the official source for the state where tested)

"GED" stands for "General Education Development." Earning your GED could be one of the biggest steps of your life. A GED diploma can be used just like a high school diploma. The GED can help you get a better job or just feel better about yourself. The GED Tests compares your knowledge to that of high school graduates. Your local adult learning center can help you get ready for the GED Tests. You can even learn online.

The GED is a battery of five tests: writing, social studies, science, literature/art, and math. The GED test fee is $40 for the entire battery.
