To apply for the Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan, Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, Nursing Loan, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Pell Grant and Federal Work Study, do the following:

• Complete the Murray State Student Financial Aid Application and mail it to the Student Financial Aid Office, Murray State University, B 2 Sparks Hall, Murray, KY 42071-3312 (no fee required). MSU Financial Aid Application can also be accessed online at: www.murraystate.edu/secsv/financial/index.htm
• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Renewal Free Application for Federal Student Aid and mail it to the federal processor or complete online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Priority Filing Dates
If you need financial help, we urge you to complete the applications immediately although the date may have passed.

Senior in High School or a Transfer Student Filing
If you are in your senior year of high school or if you are a transfer student you are already eligible to apply. You do not have to be accepted at Murray State University to apply for aid. But you will, of course, have to be enrolled in school before you actually receive your financial aid.

Refiling
You must complete a new MSU financial aid application and a new FAFSA or a Renewal Free Application for Federal Student Aid for each academic year. If you plan to attend summer sessions, a new MSU financial aid application is required. However, if a FAFSA or a Renewal Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the academic year before the summer sessions is on file, you do not need to complete another Free Application for the summer sessions beginning before July 1.
